Ushering

Ushering at Woolly Mammoth is a great way that invested members of the theatre’s community can become even more so—by serving as Woolly ambassadors on the front-lines with our patrons. Ushers are scheduled to arrive one hour prior to the start of the show. We ask that ushers dress semi-casually. Responsibilities include stuffing programs, collecting tickets, seating patrons, and handing out programs. All ushers will be able to see the entire performance. Seats to view the production are not guaranteed and depend on how many seats have been sold for that particular show. Ushers should be prepared to stand for the duration of the performance.

Our family of volunteer ushers is very important to the daily operations at Woolly, so all ushers must sign up in advance. We will not accept walk ups night of show.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer usher at Woolly, please fill out this survey. You will receive information on training sessions and must attend a session to be a part of our usher team. Please note: ushers are scheduled on a first come, first served, space availability basis based on their survey answers.
